All of our care and support staff are trained to the Care Certificate standard as recommended by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). This is an identified set of standards that health and social care staff adhere to in their daily working life. The Care Certificate contains a set of 17 standards that anyone new to care must complete within the first 12 Weeks of their recruitment. In addition, there are many more training courses outside of the Certificate which we arrange for staff to complete ongoing throughout their career.
We have a very through and safe recruitment processes, a detailed Induction & shadowing process as well as on-going training & development during the term a staff member is employed is with us.
Our staff are spot checked regularly (on the job) by a senior staff member, they have one-to-one supervisions, team meetings and annual appraisals as well as having an ‘open door’ policy for all staff at all times. Any actions, issues, concerns or complaints reported are always dealt with or actioned immediately. All of our care staff have their QCF Qualifications in Health and Social care whether this be at a Level 2 or 3 with some staff also holding a Level 4 qualification.
Our Registered Manager holds the required QCF Level 5 qualification in Health & Social Care and Leadership & Management and is currently working towards a Level 6 qualification, as well as our Deputy Manager holding a Level 4 qualification in Health & Social Care and is currently working towards their Level 5 qualification.
All staff members are offered the opportunity of gaining any formal Qualifications in the care sector however, some staff may not wish to do so if they have been in the care industry for many years and are extremely experienced. They continue to have the same on-going mandatory training & development and are supervised and refreshed like all other staff members.

The care or support that you require is able to start as soon as possible once all initial checks have been completed. Someone from our senior team will need to come out to your home to meet with you, they will carry out an initial assessment with you which is person centred to include a full risk assessment that is required before the staff team are permitted to visit your home. We will discuss and note any of the task, assistance or support that you require, and we will leave a copy of this in your home. The office team will them plan the visits that you require and pair you up with a care worker to visit you the following week to start providing to you what you need.
You will be sent a rota on a Friday each week that will advise you on the days and times of your visits as well as the name and photograph of who to expect on these planned visits.

The cost of the services that we are able to provide will all depend on what you need and for how long. This information is usually established from our first discussion with you or after the initial assessment has been completed. We will then be able to discuss with you our charges for our services, how many visits per week you need and the duration of these. We are then able to work out the weekly or monthly cost for your care or support.
Considering methods of funding care can be very daunting for many of us. In some circumstances, you may be eligible for support from your local council to help cover part or all of the costs associated with the care that you require. However, this will mainly depend on the following: savings, property ownership, annual income such as benefits, pensions etc. You are able to find out more about your eligibility by contacting your local council via Care Connect on 01934 888801 and requesting a ‘Financial care and support needs assessment.’

Quality monitoring is something that is carried out on an ongoing basis. All care staff are monitored throughout their employment via telephone reviews, field spot checks, 1-2-1 supervisions as well as annual quality monitoring questionnaires completed by all of the individuals that use our service.
The company as a whole complete a full QM tool each month that is then shared with management and senior staff to discuss and action anything that has been logged or reported over the previous week as well as lessons learnt.

Live in or 24-hour care is a type of care that is tailored for any vulnerable individual allowing them to stay in the comfort of their own homes while being cared for. With this type of care, a live in carer lives and stays at the home with the person and is able to provide tailored care to their exact requirement. This type of care provides companionship and friendship while also helping with matters such as shopping, cooking and cleaning. With live in/24-hour care, a carer can carry out a great number of tasks to help an individual feel comfortable, secure and looked after in their own home.
Those who may need help in particular an elderly person may struggle with losing their independence which is why a live in carer can ensure a person’s independence and dignity is not lost while lending a hand whenever and wherever is required.
With specialist carers for individuals with different types of illness or prognosis, a trained staff member can provide bespoke on to one care supporting with daily tasks and specialist needs.
